Tulane's Head Coach, Curtis Johnson, hat keine Zeit für kindisches Verhaltenbei seinen Spielern. Bei dem Mittwochstraining kamen Right Tackle S. Donnelly und Defensive Tackle T. Smart in einen Kampf. Das ist ein No-Go für Coach Johnson. Der Coach der Green Waves verzichtete diesmal auf eine Bestrafung und suchte sich etwas Originelles aus. Johnson ließ beide Spieler händehaltend 20 Minuten lang auf dem Football Feld herumgehen. Er sagt, er habe diese Methode bis jetzt nur an seinen Töchtern ausprobiert.

Ein Statement gab der Coach dazu natürlich auch ab:
Yeah, we had a little bit of an altercation and they kind of wasted some of my practice time so I took a different approach in disciplining them. If they want to act like kindergarten kids, then I just want to treat them like kindergarten kids…But it was pretty effective. (They walked) actually until the coaches needed them so it was about 20 minutes. I pointed it out to the rest of the team. If they as grown men want to hold hands, that's fine, that's what you are going to do if you fight.
