NEW YORK – Die NFLPA fragt warum im Training und im NFL Erziehungsprogramm alle Spieler wie Täter behandelt werden. Die NFL verteidigt sich gegen den Vorwurf, dass alle als Täter behandelt würden.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The presentation expressly recognizes that people in the NFL are often falsely portrayed and that the actions of a few damage the reputations of many.

In zwei Meetings in diesem Monat stellte die NFL der Spielervereinigung ihre Pläne bezüglich dem Erziehungsprogramm vor. Dieses wurde verhalten aufgenommen.

In einem Memo der NFLPA wird weiters kritisiert, dass es keinen Konsens zu den Warnzeichen gibt. Weiters wurde bemängelt, dass es keine Ressourcen für die fortlaufende Betreuung und Entschärfung von potentiell gewaltätigen Situationen gibt.

Die NFL bezog auch zu dem Memo Stellung, indem viele Punkte, die nicht passen angeführt wurden.

We were pleased to meet with the union and are working to incorporate their suggestions into the presentations to clubs. As we emphasized to the union, this first set of presentations is the start of a process of education that will continue in future years.
